MTTC Language Arts (Elementary) Test Study Guide
MTTC Language Arts Test is conducted to check the proficiency of aspiring educators in the communication and literature field. This exam is administered by Michigan Department of Education. Candidate clearing this exam gets certification and permission to teach in Michigan State as an educator. Eligibility for MTTC Language Arts Test
To appear for MTTC Language Arts Test, candidate should meet the following eligibility conditions set by the board:-
- Applicant should have bachelor degree from state or national university
- Applicant should have mastery in the subject from state approved college
- Applicant should have three years of teaching experience(required only for out of state candidate)
- Applicant should be at least 21 years old.

Format of MTTC Language Arts Test
MTTC Language Arts Test includes multiple choice questions. Objective questions are included to test the candidates purposive knowledge. Subjective questions are to be answered in the most artistic, creative and concise manner. MTTC Language Arts Test is evaluated on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. MTTC Basic Skills Exam is another exam complemented with MTTC Language Arts Test. Candidate needs to prove his proficiency in general areas like reading, mathematics and writing. Total number of questions in MTTC Basic skills Exam is 85. Total duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes.
