To appear for GACE Family and Consumer Sciences Education Exam, candidate should meet all the eligibility criteria listed by the board.
For renewable certification- candidate should have bachelor degree and certification from the state approved college
For non renewable certification- candidate should have bachelor degree and should be enrolled in any certification program run by state approved college.

- Parenting 11 objective questions and 1 subjective question

- Balanced Diet 17 objective and 1 subjective question
Sub test II
- Economics 16 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Interiors 16 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Business development 28 objective questions
Scoring of GACE Family and Consumer Sciences Education Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks. While scoring, 80 % weightage is given to objective questions and 20 % to subjective answers.
