GACE Early Childhood Education Exam Study Guide


Early childhood is the period when a kid learns about the society system at primary level. He gets to know the basics of reading, writing and mathematics through his educator. Therefore educator for the kids in Early Childhood Education Exam should be competent and patient enough to solve their queries in the most efficient manner. Georgia Professional Standards Commission conducts Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators to give certification to the eligible educators. Candidate needs to qualify in GACE Early Childhood Education Exam to get the permission to teach in Georgia State.

There are two sub tests in GACE Early Childhood Education Exam, which candidate needs to pass individually to get the certification. Candidate should also abide by the rules formulated by the GACE board and should sign the registration form and answer sheet followed by the instructions provided by the board.

Eligibility for GACE Early Childhood Education Exam


To appear for GACE Early Childhood Education Exam, candidate should meet all the guidelines issued by the candidate. For getting the renewable certification, candidate should hold the bachelor degree and certification from the state approved college.

If the candidate does not have certification, however he has the bachelor degree then also he/she can apply for the certification. Through this application candidate can apply for the non renewable certification. And later on after getting the certification candidate can apply for the renewable certification

Format of GACE Early Childhood Education Exam


GACE Early Childhood Education Exam is objective as well as the subjective assessment of candidates knowledge. Therefore candidate should prepare for it nicely to qualify for certification. Test 1 is composed of 60 objective and 2 subjective questions. Out of which 40 objective questions are from reading and language skills and 20 are from social science. One subjective question form each topic is also included in GACE Early Childhood Education Exam sub test 1.

In sub test 2, subjects like mathematics, science and physical education are used to form 60 objective and 2 subjective queries. Each of the topics makes 25, 20 and 15 multiple choice questions respectively. Scoring of the candidate is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks for getting the certification. While marking 80% weightage is given to objective questions and 20% weightage is given to the other section.

GACE Early Childhood Education Exam includes topics from common subjects. Reading includes questions of phonics, vocabulary, fluency etc. Mathematics includes number system, geometry, algebra etc. Science includes earth sciences and geological atmosphere.
