NYSTCE EAS- New York State Teacher Certificate Exam Program Educating all students was designed to evaluate & assess prospective teachers on their proficiency in several cores of education. Teachers are judged on their ability to educate the students irrespective of the diversity in terms of population, English language learning, and specially-abled students. A candidate who seeks to teach credentials in New York State needs to pass the exam.

Eligibility for NYSTCE EAS Educating All Students Test (201)

For candidates to be eligible to appear in the NYSTCE EAS exam, the following requirements need to be fulfilled-

  1. Candidates need to be enrolled in a New York state-approved teacher preparation program or must have an educator certificate.
  2. Candidates must adhere to the rules and policies of the test preparation and should agree to the terms of NDA to proceed with the testing process.

For candidates who wish to be part of programs like the New York City Teaching Fellows program, NYSCTE EAS exam is essential. For initial teaching, candidates are required to pass EAS. Format of NYSTCE EAS Educating All Students Test (201)

NYSTCE EAS Test format covers the following-

  • NYSTCE EAS is a computer-based exam.
  • MCQs- 40 Multiple choice questions, 3 Constructed response questions.
  • MCQs account for 70% of the test score and constructed response accounts for 30%.
  • The time allotted is 2 hours 15 minutes to complete the entire exam.

How to Apply for the NYSTCE EAS Test (201)

  • The exam is conducted around the year and appointments can be taken from Monday to Saturday.
  • Candidates are required to apply online and take the exam at the respective center located throughout the country.
  • Candidates can check online to find the location of the center which is nearest to them.

Scores for NYSTCE EAS Educating All Students Test (201)

The exam is scored on a scale of 400 and 600. To qualify for the exam for NYSTCE EAS, a minimum passing score of 520 is required.

NYSTCE EAS Test fee is $92. Test registration remains valid for one year from the date of registration. If a candidate wants to reschedule the appointment then it can be done through the online account.
