TExES or Texas Examination of Educator Standards is the branch of SBEC (State Board for Educator Certification). Candidate should be enrolled in last semester of any certificate degree before applying for the certification. Candidate should also possess AGSC teaching certificate verified by SBEC. Format of TExES Art EC-12 Exam
TExES Art Exam measures candidates knowledge in specific domain and field, on the basis of which candidates fate is decided. Topics included in TExES Art Exam are creativity in art, relation between history, culture and art, importance of analysis in art and aesthetic value of art, art education. More in depth topics to be covered in the exam are elements of art, tools and techniques used in art and its branches, materials and technology behind sculpturing and ceramic art etc. Candidate should prepare well for these topics since they cover due weightage in the exam. The entire score of the candidate is converted on the scale of 300 out of which 240 is the minimum passing marks. The exam contains multiple choice questions. There are near about 90 questions to be answered out of which 80 are scored questions.
