Format of Praxis II Agriculture Exam


Praxis II Agriculture Exam is available in three levels. General Praxis II Agriculture Exam includes 120 multiple choice questions. Total time for completing the exam is 120 minutes. Praxis II Agriculture Exam for Pennsylvanian educators also includes 120 objective type questions. Praxis II Agriculture Exam for Californian and Oregano educators includes 148 multiple choice questions. Total time for completing the exam is two hours. Candidate should keep in mind that all the questions in the exam are not scored. Some of the questions are unscored and no marks are given for them.

Syllabus of Praxis II Agriculture Exam


Praxis II Agriculture Exam is conducted over three phases. Topics covered vitally in these phases are:-

  • Plant and soil science basic knowledge of plants and soils, soil characteristics and management, horticulture, crop production.
  • Animal science animal anatomy, physiology, breeds characteristics, nutrition and feeding cycles, animal products and processing.
  • Agriculture economics principles of economics, agriculture sales and marketing, management issues, business structure, legal issues.
  • Agriculture mechanics power machines, soil and water characteristics, and farm shop practices, career opportunities and safety issues.
  • Agriculture resource management ecology, environment, energy, forestry, wildlife.

These headings cover unequal weightings in all three exams, hence candidates should study these topics accordingly.
