ParaPro Assessment Exam Test Preparation Study Guide


The ParaPro Assessment offers certification for paraprofessionals. It also offers an objective assessment that tests a prospective teachers knowledge and skills and the ability to effectively use those skills in the classroom.

Format Of ParaPro Assessment Examination:


The ParaPro Examination is delivered in both paper and Internet-delivered formats. The test consists of 90 multiple-choice questions of which approximately two-third questions focus on basic skills and knowledge while the remaining focus on application of skills in the classroom. All the tests are conducted in English.

Below are the subject areas in which the candidates are tested along with the percentage of exam they constitute:

Reading Skills and Knowledge 20%
Application of Reading Skills and Knowledge to Classroom Instruction 13%
Mathematics Skills and Knowledge 20%
Application of Mathematics Skills and Knowledge to Classroom Instruction 13%
Writing Skills and Knowledge 20%
Application of Writing Skills and Knowledge to Classroom Instruction 13%
